DISSECTING PRIDE

Living amidst a plethora of fragrances somehow bent the evolutionary development to take discourse and settle down with one of the finest creations, we know today as the human brain. Capable not only of acknowledging but also interpreting and reacting. But even it could not prevent the inherent entrapment that comes with the territory. In this case it was the filtering process which fails to prevent what sets it into a never ending whirlwind of frustration and anger , that arise out of textual bombardment of statements concocted by the underlying baseless and fraudulent pride. Aristotle and G.B.Shaw considered it to be a virtue while a majority of religions which survived to gain dominance over the society consider it as a sin. Considering both the philosophical and psychological take on pride , the following was concluded by all the thinkers till date documented :
A) Pride is the master of all virtues
B) Its almost always impossible to be truly proud as it can never be combined with simultaneous
Verbal and non-verbal humbleness , nobility and goodness of character.
A recent work by Weiner et al explains that pride comes from applause on the apparent achievement of the same triggered by the individual alone in isolation .
This of course has the inherent fault , when Weiner says that it is considered to be one’s own effort performed in isolation. This surely is the biggest fallacy in my view. A more recent research says that pride is the faulty blanket over self-contempt and actual low-self esteem. While the Greek history said pride to be anti-god and a character flaw of the Greek Tragedy Heroes.
By building up the basis, now I would like to take you into the psychoanalysis of pride culminating in its dissection. I would like to begin with a case by case interrogation of pride while it lay on the operation table for getting dissected. Let us call upon all the players living , dead and inanimate along with detailed evidence of events documented which occurred with all of them and our pride. Note that I am left with only pride at my disposal while the person is heading to eternal damnation . The pride has taken over the charge and is in direct conversation with me. As I proceed with my scalpel pride looks around for the event that caused its inception. After an in depth search it returns and asks for the elements to come into the room. I realized that it had failed to find the evidence of origin. When I asked that would it like to see the elements all at one or should I allow them to have one on one interaction. It replied that as the time left was insufficient it would be obvious to go with the former option. As soon as all the elements entered into the room, the suffocation level reached such an unprecedented level that it became difficult not only for pride which already was feeling the heat of interrogation but for the elements( of course those left living, as most of them were dead and inanimate) and all started choking. The clause which I signed beforehand was to leave the room as soon as all of them entered. Within a few moments, I opened the door, only to see all dead. What I realized was that the pride was able to live only if it was confined within its body or it would have survived if it was on a one on one conversation with the partners in crime. The learnings which I want my readers to take away are that if pride is confined within own self it really is the master of all virtues as proven by Aristotle and G.B.Shaw and when it interacts with the people who are by default a partner in the crime it becomes difficult for both of them to survive and live along.
